Holy smokes The beginning of this book sucked me in HARD It s disjointed and chaotic and OMG It fits perfectly with the disjointed reality that Mirage is experiencing as she struggles against the thought conditioning that her ex boyfriend forced on her with his own superpower It s seriously creepy as she and we attempt to unravel what s real and what s false shivers When Justice and Mirage end up together as a last ditch effort to find the truth hidden under her conditioning, things get sexy I really liked how the relationship developed between them Justice is still smarting from his breakup with his ex and Mirage is leery of trusting anyone after what her ex did to her It s tangled and explosive and I dug it There was a lot I enjoyed about this book A LOT From the sexiness of the superheroes RAWR to Mirage s break from and return to reality to the way the line between villain and hero was blurred depending on who was looking at it Mirage is very right when she says that those that have certain types of powers are automatically classified as villains even if they haven t DONE anything yet to warrant it.Yeah This book made me think Plus It was sexy I LIKE THAT Kelly Reading villains I kept thinking of The Avengers and Megamind the whole time I was reading itLOL It made for a definite change from the norm for me, when it comes to reading a romance novel The book was a novella, clocking in with only about 139 pages but honestly, it feels like a full length novel It s a blast to read yet not rushed or overly drawn out I was definitely intrigued about this alternate world where superheroes are born into the world So much so, that I found myself searching out about the series on the author s webpage There are two other books in the series, with a third on the way I was a fan of Andrews already I am a fan of here Serengeti Shifter series but I hadn t really looked through much of her other works yet So when offered the chance to review another book by this fabulous author, I jumped at the chance And I m glad I did Considering I missed the first novel in the series, I will let you know that that in no way detracted from the story whatsoever Of course, you do have that feeling while reading that you might have missed a beginning book, but it doesn t take away from your enjoyment I loved reading about the various powers of the characters, and I especially loved those of both Mirage and Justice It seems even their powers are perfect for each other All in all, if you re looking for something a little unique and different this is a perfect choice I will definitely be reading Book One in the series is Super Lovin , Book Three is Super Hot another novella , and Book Four entitled Super Trouble is has a release date that has yet to be determined But I can t wait Rate AReview by Sarahhttp thebookreadinggals.com [Free Epub] ♲ Super Bad (Superlovin, #2) ☿ When Your Mind Is A Prison, Love Can Set You FreeEver Since Her Supervillain Other Forces Are Circling To Threaten Them Both Tangled In Illusions And Mind Games, Can Love Be Real At first, when I skimmed through the first two books of this serie, I was certain this one would be my favorite But even if I liked it very much and enjoyed the relationship between the main characters who were hotter than Lucien and Darla by far, although I m sure Mr Bad Boy and Miss SuperGood can rock a bedroom in their own way , I prefered the first book.It s not that I didn t like Mirage, but there were times where her actions or thoughts made me wonder why I liked her She s not a bad girl, but she s not a good one either And she s still very young, which explains a lot about her way of thinking, her reactions That being said, she s sometimes selfish and shallow, even if deep down, she s better than that. And apart from his all righteousness, Julian was just adorable.3.5 stars When your mind is a prison, love can set you free.Ever since her supervillain father experimented on her once happy and mad about this book Happy because I loved the first book and mad because How did I miss this coming out last year Then to find out there is a 3rd that was just released, geeky girl is in heaven and must go locate book 3 Super Hot While I am rambling, this has nothing to do with the story, but I just love the chapter names Ms Andrews uses in all her books And I look forward to the beginning of each chapter just to see the title I feel so sorry for Mirabelle, getting her mind snapped and not knowing what is real and what is all just in her mind is well written and believable I like that she is realistic and not black and white about things Whereas Julian Captain Justice thinks the later is the case Captain Justice is talked into helping Mirage since he is not effected by her gift and they go about trying to figure out how to heal Mirabelle s mind They both have trust issues with the opposite sex and with good reason, but you see them falling in love and that the stereotype of Hero and Villain is not so clear cut Vivi Andrews is one of my favorites and a must buy for me and this story did not disappoint It really has a little of something for everyone super heroes, villains, sexy love scenes, drama, actionSo go forth a release your inner geek like me All right guys let s do this thing. So Once Upon a Time Samhain Publishing released three novellas in the Midnight Justice series from three different authors While I had my issues with the ahem cover art, by in large I enjoyed these superhero romances There needs to be MORE superhero romances in my life Vivi Andrews story SUPERLOVIN about DynaGirl Darla and Demon Wroth Lucien and how they hooked up was my favorite of the three I appreciated that neither fit the mold of who they were portrayed as in the media and that they both did what they could to break out of that model Also Lucien sounded HOT.Meanwhile other characters were introduced Captain Justin aka Justin and Mirage aka Mirabelle, Lucien s sister who I wanted to know about And thus did Andrews answer those pleas Initially this is less about the romance and about helping Mirage figure herself out The guy who was controlling her did a real number on her mind and on good days she wants to be better on bad days, which were frequent, she didn t trust anyone, not even her brother The opening scenes of Mirage desperately trying to not only piece together what was going on, but what was true were heart breaking Like her brother she wasn t EVIL, but because of her talent and the bias people have she was labeled evil before she could defend herself.Justice got himself dumped he s meant to be a Superman type, complete with a reporter girlfriend and I can t say I felt overly bad for him He didn t even seem wrung out over it so much as hurt and shellshocked Kim didn t help things by basically saying Yeah we had a thing, but really this was all about helping my career even if I didn t want to admit that to myself until just this moment I found the interactions between Mirage and Justice to be interesting, but I wish there had been about the mindbreak she went through In a lot of ways I compared this to To the Fifth Power which also dealt with a heroine who had her mind screwed up Andrews discusses things like Mirage why Mirage was ending up where she was ending up, but doesn t go too deep into them In fact much of the plot turns out to be something of a red herring as the ending has very little to do with the beginning.Overall though I loved Mirage so much that I kind of didn t care that her brain damage got a bit of a short shift Her and Justice together were enough to make me pleased with how things turned out. I am a huge superhero fan My all time favorite is Thor, but I wouldn t turn down any Avenger who might decide he wants to hang out in my bed What can I say I m a hoochie for the right hero, so imagine how curious I got when I saw that the awesome Vivi Andrews had written a series around the Supers both heroes and villains I HAD to try one out.I opened Super Bad up on my iPad and was quickly sucked in First, a villainess called Mirage, who can plant illusions in your head How cool Except that due to a recent bad experience, she s not all there And a hero named Justice that could put Chris Evans Captain America to shame Hellz yeah The problem was that Mirage was stuck in her own headand couldn t distinguish real from illusion That s not good with powers like hers She needed help and fast In walks Justiceliterally The whole world knew he had physical strength What they didn t know He could literally compel truth This meant that he could actually HELP Mirage because he d be able to recognize when illusions started to take over The question is, why would a hero help a villain Aren t they sworn enemies And is Mirage really a villain or misunderstood You know what they say about opposites attracting Personally I found this book to be so much fun that I couldn t put it down In fact, I finished it in one sitting I absolutely LOVED Mirageand personally speaking, it didn t take me long to begin thinking of her as of an anti hero than a villain It was awesome to see both sides learn that sometimes everything is not so black and whiteand that it s in that gray area that things really start to get interesting Want a fun summer read Don t miss out on this one This is my first super hero romance and it for sure will NOT be my last I think the thing that most gripped me in this story was the voice of the author She turned superheroes and supervillains into real people with issues Well, not really real issues, like super power issues I am coming into the series at book two, I will now be going back and reading book one, then grabbing book three Now, this book was REALLY good however, something was holding back my mass elation I can t put my finger on it, but I was gushing with oh my gods when I was finished reading this book yet, I couldn t seem to put it down I think the nerd in me was giddy and excited that someone actually wrote a super hero romance novel The whole idea, the world, and the characters were rich and stood out in four dimensions I loved that Mirage sort of reminded me of invisigirl from The Incredibles The skinny, lithe, goth girl And Captain Justice was well he was Captain America drool worthy He was very stand offish and almost unsure of himself around Mirage and the vulnerability was awesome Yet, again, something held me back It could be because I came in at the second book in the series and didn t have a full background to what went on with the characters BEFORE this story However, I WILL and do want to continue this series It was unique, it was original, and now I want to know the fate of all the awesome heroes and villains in the Superlovin Series If you like Avengers If you like X Men If you are at all a fan girl of any super hero genre and even a closet nerd you will LOVE this series I received a copy of this book via Vivi Andrews per Netgalley in exchange for an honest review 30 May 2014 0.00 FREE on Kindle7 10 2013 0.00 FREE on Kindle This series is so cute and just plain fun to read Love the super heroes with all their sexiness Yes I have been reading them out of order and haven t been lost yet.
